Farmers want more support amid NSW election

As the New South Wales’ election nears, the state’s peak farming body is concerned not enough money is being spent on the agricultural sector.

New South Wales Farmers say whichever party is elected will need to tighten its belt and spend wisely to make sure the industry is well supported.

Rural reporter Madelaine McNeill caught up with economist Brendan O’Keeffe, to find out why investment in the sector is crucial not just for the state, but the country.
