Farmers welcome a historic new trade agreement

Australia is one of 15 countries to sign on to the largest trade deal ever inked – opening up a $30trillion market.

It’s hoped the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership could help ease tensions with China, and diversify Australia’s export market.

Rural reporter Helene Lambetsos spoke with National Farmers Federation chief executive Tony Maher, on what it means for local producers.
