Gap year program, enticing young people to the regions
Paid on-farm training is being offered to school leavers, looking to explore a career in agriculture.
The federal government is teaming up with the National Farmers Federation to develop the AgCareers Start gap-year program.
Placements will be assigned in March before participants are assigned to an on-farm role.
