Getting youngsters excited about emerging careers in ag

Efforts are underway to recruit a new generation of workers to the agriculture sector, through an educational campaign.

School students from Kindergarten to Year 10 have been taking part in the Excited initiative – gaining hands on experience across a range of sectors.

Rural editor Sophie Clarke caught up with CQUniversity agriculture lecturer Doctor Jamie Manning to hear how the program has been changing perceptions about what a career in the space might look like.
