Has it become acceptable to swear at work?

Questions have been raised about whether it is ever acceptable to swear at work.

It comes after a recent case before the Fair Work Commission, where a union delegate called his workmates a ‘f****** c***’.

Peter Wilson, chairman of the Australian Human Resource Institute, said it was absolutely unacceptable.

“I would contest the conclusion that it is common and experienced in a range of workplaces,” he told Tony Jones on 3AW Mornings.

“It’s certainly not prevalent and common, that’s ridiculous.”
