‘Hatred and utter violence’: Servo victims in shock

Tom Elliott

A service station business targeted by a group of violent thugs believes the young offenders were driven by hate.

About seven armed men hit servos at Laverton, Rockbank and Hillside at the weekend, stealing cash, products and a car.

Trevor Dance, a HR manager with the business, told Neil Mitchell he and his staff was shocked by the trashings.

“It was absolutely shocking to get the phone call three night a in a row at 3.30am and go ‘My goodness, what’s happened now, I hope our staff are OK’,” he said.

“They’re showing hatred. No respect for the law, no respect for our staff, no respect for customers, nothing.

“It’s just out of control.”

Mr Dance said the thieves were yelling “we will kill you, we will kill you”.
