‘Hey Metro, top up our Mykis, thanks!’

Justin and Kate

Metro hasn’t decided how to compensate commuters caught in last night’s train network meltdown.

But Justin and Kate reckon it’s pretty obvious.

Forget filling out forms, as reported in the Herald Sun: Just don’t charge people who touched on their Myki at the time.

Justin Smith: When you’ve got an automatic ticketing system, why can’t we just say ‘Anyone who touched on at this time does not get charged, or gets the money back’?

Kate Stevenson: Not just that, how much do you think it would cost in staffing to analyse each situation, case-by-case?
