Le’ts Talk Business – Full Show, 25th November

Eight hours to work, Eight hours to play, Eight hours to sleep.

That’s been the Australian working standard since a band of Melbourne stonemasons downed tools and walked off the job 163 years ago, demanding better working conditions. They won that fight and the eight hour day is their legacy.

Over the decades, the eight hour day and the 38 hour week have been eroded, with most workers clocking in considerably higher hours week in, week out.

In the quest to achieve work-life balance by introducing more flexible working arrangements, should businesses start embracing the four day week?

Oh, and these keyboards ain’t going to clean themselves. Be like John and fetch yourself a fresh can of air!
