Melbourne prisoner’s escape foiled by quick thinking staff
RUMOUR CONFIRMED: A Melbourne prisoner’s escape attempt has been foiled by quick thinking staff.
‘Close Escape’ told The Rumour File about the foiled jail break at the Metropolitan Remand Centre.
A spokesperson for Corrections Victoria confirmed the rumour, telling 3AW Breakfast prison staff were quick to act.
Prison staff quickly foiled an attempt by a prisoner to escape from the Metropolitan Remand Centre (MRC) last Wednesday (July 12).
The prisoner never left the prison grounds, and no staff were injured during the incident.
The MRC is a maximum-security prison, with multiple security check points throughout the facility.
