Neil Mitchell grills Communications Minister over NBN issues

IN STUDIO WITH NEIL MITCHELL

The Communications Minister has put telcos on notice.

A second telecommunications compacy has admitted it’s been overcharging customers for the NBN.

Optus is working with the consumer watchdog to repay people who’ve been sold plans on the National Broadband Network with maximum speeds that can’t be reached.

Telstra has already agreed to compensate 42,000 customers for the same issue.

Minister Mitch Fifield told Neil Mitchell it sends a strong message to other service providers.

“What is absolutely clear is that, if you’re a retailer, and you are selling a product to consumers, you must deliver what you undertake to do,” Mr Fifield said.
