Neil Mitchell speaks to a witness to the London attack

Tom Elliott

A witness to Sunday’s terror attack in London has told Neil Mitchell he saw a “city in crisis”.

Richard Angell had been dining with Senator Sam Dastyari when the disaster struck.

“We saw a guy leaving the restaurant next to us absolutely covered and soaked in blood,” Mr Angell said.

Mr Angell said he intends to return to the restaurant to pay the bill.

“These people deserve a damn good tip,” he said.

“When they should have been worried about their own safety, they cared about ours.”
