New initiative to boost regional workforce.

A new research project is being launched to to help address the regional skill shortage and help refugees find employment.

The four year initiative aims to design a displaced-talent migration program to fit the needs of regional communities and refugees looking for their new home.

More than 80-thousands jobs have been advertises across regional areas each month this year.

Rural Reporter Georgia Kondek spoke with U-N-S-W’s Chief Investigator Doctor Claire Higgins about the vital role skilled migrants can play in boosting the workforce.
