New Label Directory Developed for Wine Exporters

Wine exporters will soon be required to submit images of their labels to a publicly accessible directory, prior to gaining export certification.

The new Wine Label Intellectual Property Directory is being developed to help better protect the country’s world-class industry from copycat exporters who rip off producers and have the potential to ruin the reputation of the sector.

We caught up with Australian Grape and Wine chief executive Tony Battaglene to hear how it all works.
