Rain offers hope for northern New South Wales farmers.

Rural News

A Northern New South Wales farmer says patchy rain in the drought hit region is changing the outlook for the year ahead.

Ben Swan runs his family farm near Inverell and has been handing feeding livestock to keep them alive and choose not to plant a summer crop, because of how dry it had been.

Rural reporter Eddie Summerfield caught up with the farmer who says it’s hard not to be optimistic.
