Ross and John learn about Olympic lottery plans

When it comes to Australia’s recent Olympics performances, Ross summed it up well: “We’ve gone shouse.”

Even Great Britain’s beating us, as the UK pumps record funds into its sport via a lottery.

So is it time for a sports lottery of our own?

“That’s what I’d like to see,” federal Sports Minister Greg Hunt told 3AW Breakfast today.

“This has the potential to deliver up to $50 million a year in sport.

“Once it starts I think it’d be there for decades and decades, if not generations.”
