Schwarzer backs Australia to reach the World Cup

Mark Schwarzer thinks Australia will reach the World Cup.

The Socceroos need to beat Honduras on Wednesday night to reach the 2018 competition in Russia, while a scoreless draw will see the tie go to extra time.

And legendary keeper Schwarzer told Sportsday the Socceroos’ dominance in the away leg is significant.

“I think they’ll take huge amounts of confidence from that,” Schwarzer said.

Schwarzer said the home crowd will also be a factor.
