Searching for heat tolerant canola

Rural News

Researchers are working to identify genes that make canola heat tolerant, to eventually provide plant breeders with a heat-tolerant germplasm, to incorporate into new varieties.

Temperatures above 30-degrees during flowering can reduce canola seed yield.

Rural Reporter Sophie Clarke caught up with University of Western Australia Researcher Doctor Shen Chen to hear about the project:
