Teach kids Australia’s history
The Review of the New South Wales School Curriculum is hearing calls for civics and citizenship education to be improved for school students, in particular Year 9 and Year 10 students. It’s being urged to ensure every students has a basic understanding of the important events and institutions which shape the history of Australia.
Luke Grant spoke to Dr Bella d’Abrera, Director of the Institute of Public Affairs about the Institute’s Western Civilization Programme which has made a submission to the Review.
