Technology helping labour-starved farmers boost production.

Despite the industry battling ongoing worker shortages, agricultural production has increased over the past three years .

An ABARES survey shows horticulture farms were hardest hit by border closures and have seen a reduction of close to 35 thousand workers.

But production has increased by 3%.

Rural editor Sophie Clarke caught up with executive director Doctor Jared Greenville to find out how a heavier reliance on technology is bridging the gap.
