The most lucrative speed cameras have been revealed.

The three biggest money-spinners are all in 40km/h zones, with Warrigal Road in Chadstone still the number one hot spot.

3AW Mornings senior producer Heidi Murphy said this is despite there being plenty of signs warning drivers about the speed limit.

“Extraordinary that it is increasing quarter on quarter given, apparently, all of that perfectly adequate signage,” she said.

Overall, fines were down by 4 per cent in the last financial year.
