The Global Atheist Convention has been cancelled due to lack of interest

A proposed Atheist Convention has been cancelled.

The convention would have gone ahead in February 2018 but has been canned due to ticket sales being “substantially below expectations”.

One person who is, perhaps surprisingly, upset is Rev Michael Jensen from St Mark’s Anglican Church.

Dr Jensen told Tom Elliott he is “disappointed” there won’t be a public discussion of ideas.

“I think a society benefits when we consider the issues of deepest meaning and significance,” Dr Jensen said.
