The Royal Flying Doctor Service remembers Her Majesty’s patronage

Queen Elizabeth II’s impact on rural and regional Australians is being remembered, in the wake of her death.

Flags across the country are being flown at half-mast to honour the Commonwealth’s longest-serving monarch.

The Royal Flying Doctor Service is among those paying tribute to the Queen’s patronage.

Her Majesty gave the organisation Royal assent, during her visit to their Broken Hill base in 1954.

Rural Reporter Rhiannon Soliman-Marron caught up with the organisation’s Federation Executive Director Frank Quinlan, to talk about what Her Majesty meant to them.
