The young women driving change in agriculture
A young disability advocate has used a sought-after award, to raise awareness and opportunities for people with disability in the rural sector.
Josie Clarke was awarded $15,000 as part of this year’s AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award to create Ability Agriculture – an online platform that highlights inclusive agriculture jobs.
Rural editor Sophie Clarke caught up with her to hear more about how the accolade has helped her, and why she thinks others should get involved.
Aplications for the award close on the 19th of October.
