Tom Elliott blasts Scott Morrison over our growing national debt

TOM ELLIOTT

Tom Elliott says Scott Morrison has “failed” in his task of keeping our national debt under control.

And Tom isn’t happy that the Treasurer won’t front up and outline what he’s planning to do about it.

Australia’s national debt level has ticked over $500 billion. It was $270 billion when the Coalition was elected four years ago.

“The people who are supposed to be the good economic managers have seen a bigger increase in debt in a shorter period of time,” Tom said on Monday.

“I have asked Scott Morrison to come on this program every week for the past year. He never comes on, and I reckon now I know why.

“I’m beginning to think there is no plan.”
