Vertical sea farms to bring fresh water to remote areas

Freshwater could soon be accessible for anyone and everyone around the world especially those in remote communities.

Vertical sea farms floating on the ocean are being constructed to produce fresh water for drinking and agriculture.

Researchers from the University of South Australia have designed the self-sustaining solar driven system which evaporates seawater and recycles it to fresh water

Rural Reporter Georgia Kondek caught up with Senior Researcher, Doctor Gary Owens to discuss the benefits this project will have on communities and agriculture.
