Police announce $500,000 reward to solve 2014 sexual attack on young woman
Police have announced a reward of up to $500,000 to help solve the violent attack and sexual assault of a young woman in Burwood back in 2014.
The 21-year-old woman was walking along Burwood Highway when she was approached from behind by a man at 10-10.15am on Thursday 23 January 2014.
She was dragged into the front yard of an unoccupied house on Station Street, before she was physically and sexually assaulted.
The man is perceived to be of Asian appearance and aged between 35 to 45-years-old.
He was wearing a brown jacket and tan-coloured pants.
Investigators have released a digital image of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
Detectives will set up an information caravan today on the Burwood Highway near Station Street from 9am.
