Police are looking for a dog owner over an alleged assault.

The man (pictured above) confronted another man who had brought a remote controlled car to a dog park in Glen Iris on Sunday.

A confrontation ensued after the dog started chasing the car.

Senior Constable Ryan Gilmore told Neil Mitchell the car owner claims he was physically assaulted by the dog owner.

“A couple of times to the body and face,” Mr Gilmore said.

Neil said it’s “stupid” to bring a remote controlled car to a dog park – but it’s even more stupid to resolve disputes with violence.
