Police arrest man wanted over chaotic CBD chase in black BMW

The man who sparked a chaotic police chase across Melbourne’s CBD last month has been arrested.

Police confirmed on Friday they’d taken Sean Murphy into custody.

The 26-year-old is expected to be charged with multiple offences including conduct endangering life, assault police, resist arrest and several drug and weapon offences.

He’s accused of leading police on a dangerous police chaos through Footscray, Flemington and into Melbourne’s CBD in a black BMW before fleeing on foot.

He’ll face a bail hearing later today.
