Police cannot identify a woman pulled from the water at Black Rock Beach.

Her body was found in the shallows by a jogger at 7am on Tuesday morning.

The Caucasian woman, aged in her early 20s to mid 30s, is believed to have possibly entered the water near the Sandringham Life Saving Club on January 30.

She was 174cm tall, weighed about 90 kilograms and had a distinctive six-centimetre scar on her left wrist.

Despite following every possible line of enquiry, including fingerprinting, police have been unable to identify the young woman.

Her death is not believed to be suspicious
