Concrete barriers have been erected at a Glen Iris BMX Park this afternoon to stop kids from using it.

Mel contacted 3AW Drive from the scene on Friday, a little concerned by what she had seen.

Police were speaking to about a dozen kids who had been at the park riding their bikes and scooters.

Workers with a crane had been called in and were in the process of installing the barriers.

While exercise is permitted, skate parks remain closed under Melbourne’s strict COVID-19 restrictions.
