Police called to Altona North auction yard after reports of explosives

Police were called to an auction yard in Altona North today after a staff member located what is believed to be explosives.

Police were called to the Gordon Luck Avenue business at around 10.45am.

It’s believed two sticks of explosives were found in a Holden ute being prepared for sale.

The bomb response unit attended and removed the explosives.

The area has since been deemed safe.
