‘Sparks flying everywhere’: Police chase comes to ‘crashing halt’ in Melbourne’s south-east

There are reports of a police chase in Melbourne’s south east.

Nine News reporter Emily Rice said the chase has now come to a “crashing halt”.

Caller, Michael, spotted the car in Ashburton on High Street.

“The front end’s all smashed in, and we’ve had seven police cars chasing him … it’s missing a wheel,” he told Jacqui Felgate.

“Sparks flying everywhere, there’s a guy driving one-handed with his arm out the window,” he said.
