Police Commissioner’s simple message for Australians after Brussels attack

Tom Elliott

The Police Commissioner has a simple message for Australians in the wake of the Brussels attack.

‘Life your life.’

Commissioner Graham Ashton told Neil Mitchell people must not let terrorist acts rattle them.

‘You can’t decide to lock your door and pull your windows shut because of what might happen,’ he said.

‘Try to live your life confidently, but be vigilant about what you’re seeing around you.’

He said Australia has increased counter-terrorism activities, but there is nothing to indicate an imminent threat.
