Police descend on Mornington property after reports of bomb threat

A man barricaded himself inside a Mornington property on Monday afternoon, before surrendering to police.

In a statement released to 3AW, police earlier urged locals to avoid the area.

Witness Rebecca told Tony Moclair she had heard reports of a bomb threat being made.

“The street is completely cordoned off here,” she told 3AW Afternoons.

“There is a bomb threat and police are trying to negotiate with a person.”
