Police detective discusses the latest on the fatal poison mushroom arrest
Victoria Police have told media in a press conference a search of Erin Patterson’s residence is still ongoing and the homicide squad is being assisted by the Australian Federal Police.
Homicide squad Detective Inspector, Dean Thomas, says Patterson will be interviewed by investigators after the search is completed.
“Today’s arrest is just the next step in a complex and thorough investigation by homicide detectives, and one that is not quite over,” he said.

Erin Patterson, the woman at the centre of the poisonous mushroom meal that resulted in the deaths of three people in Gippsland, was arrested this morning.
She’s was taken to Wonthaggi police station for questioning.
“That is a significant change to the case,” Neil Mitchell said.
