Police halt investigation into Richmond photo scandal

The investigation into the Richmond photo scandal has been stopped at the request of the woman at the centre of the saga.

Fox Sports reporter Tom Morris joined Sportsday to discuss the latest development.

Images of a topless woman wearing a 2017 Premiership medal were circulated on social media after the Tigers’ premiership win.

It’s understood police could be re-open the investigation at a later date.

The woman said the images were spread without her consent.

Morris said the name of the player allegedly involved will remain suppressed.

“This is big news,” he said.
