Police have released an image in relation to a stabbing in South Yarra

A man is still in hospital with serious injuries after he was stabbed multiple times in South Yarra earlier this month.

The 56-year-old went to move his car in his William Street garage on March 17th when he was attacked by an unknown man around 7am. 

The offender fled the scene and is still on the run. 

Police investigators have released a digital facial composite image of a man they believe may be able to help with their investigation.

A description of the man has been released:

  • Caucasian in appearance
  • Aged in his early to mid 30’s
  • 182cm tall
  • Thin build
  • Unshaven
  • Long brown scraggly shoulder-length hair

An information caravan will be set up on Williams Street between 6.20am and 8am tomorrow.
