Police are calling for help to find a man who knocked another man unconscious in nasty fast food restaurant assault in Melbourne’s north-west.

The victim, a 49-year-old Keilor man, was on the patio area outside the Keilor Park restaurant just after midnight on July 8.

Two men exited the restaurant and walked past the man, before one returned to the victim.

The unknown man struck the victim in the face, causing him to lose consciousness.

The victim’s cheek was shattered and he required reconstructive surgery.

Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to in relation to the incident.
