Police hunt for stolen rescue boat … but what colour is it?

Police have called for public assistance finding a rescue boat, stolen at Port Melbourne.

But the colour of the boat has sparked debate on 3AW Breakfast.

Police believe the offenders used a white ute to break through a fence of a Lorimer Street marine facility between 1.30 and 2am on August 28.

They then used the ute to remove an inflatable rescue boat, with motor attached, and its trailer.
