Police hunt for Torquay firebug

Police are on the hunt for a Torquay firebug who has lit almost a dozen fires since late October.

Some of the incidents include a grand final eve blaze at the home of a Richmond footballer and an incident where a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a property beside the police station.

Police believe a young male is responsible for 10 fires.

All of them have been lit within a 4km radius of the surf coast town.
