Police hunt man who posed as an Uber driver, sexually assaulting a woman at Eltham

Police are searching for a man who posed as an Uber driver, sexually assaulting a 22-year-old woman at Eltham.

The incident happened shortly before 1am near Main Road on May 28.

The male driver offered the woman a lift, she believed it was a ride share service car and got inside.

Investigators are told the male driver sexually assaulted the woman in his car before dropping her off at another address in Eltham.

Police have released a digital image of a man they wish to speak with in relation to the incident.
