Police hunt Shahid Rafik Hamid in relation to Brighton East stabbing

Shahid Rafik Hamid is wanted in relation to a stabbing at Brighton East in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police believe an Indonesian national and his friend were leaving a house party on Burwah Avenue when they were approached by two men.

It’s alleged one of the men was stabbed before the offenders fled.

A 26-year-old Chirnside Park man has since been arrested as part of the investigation and charged with attempted murder.

Police have release an image of Hamid in the hope that someone may recognise him and provide information on his whereabouts.

Members of the public are warned not to approach Hamid, anyone who sights him is urged to call Triple Zero.
