Police investigate crash that killed motorcyclist on busy Richmond street

A motorcyclist has been killed on a busy Richmond street.

The tragic incident happened on Church Street on Monday afternoon, shortly before 4pm.

Police have been told the rider lost control near the intersection of Church Street and Brougham Street and crashed into a wall.

Emergency services attended the scene but the male rider could not be revived.

A number of witnesses were spoken to at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
