Police investigate ‘scary’ alleged sexual assault in Melbourne’s south-east

Sexual Crimes Squad detectives are investigating a “scary” alleged sexual assault in Dandenong North last month.

A woman was running along the Dandenong Creek Trail near Outlook Drive at about 3pm on January 31 when an unknown man approached her, throwing her to the ground and attempting to take off her clothing.

He is described as being in his late teens or early 20s, of a thin build and with an olive complexion, potentially perceived to be of Indian or sub-continental appearance.
