Police investigate supermarket ram raid at Patterson Lakes
Police are investigating a ram raid in Melbourne’s outer south east.
Police say a silver Holden Colorado utility has reversed through the front windows of a Patterson Lakes supermarket at about 4am on Thursday.
Two male occupants entered the Coles supermarket and tried to break into a cigarette cabinet.
The men were disturbed by a number of bakers and fled.
A staff member followed the offenders along Eastlink but when the would be thieves realised, they crashed into the man’s car at Carrum Downs.
Thankfully the driver wasn’t injured
The two offenders are still on the run police say their silver utility, which has a black tray covering, will have damage to its back end and tail lights.
