Police investigate suspicious fire which caused significant damage to a Ballarat gym

Police are appealing for help after a Ballarat gym was set alight last month.

Just before 3:30am on May 25, two males forced the doors open at a gym on Howitt Street in Wendouree, pouring accelerant inside, at the front of the building and in the carpark, before lighting it, causing a large fire in the reception area which was significantly damaged.

No one was inside at the time, the two males fled on foot and headed east on Howitt Street.
