Police believe two stabbings in Melbourne’s north-west that left three teenagers in hospital are linked.

Both incidents happened about 8.30 on Sunday night.

A 15-year-old Melton boy was found with a stab wound to his stomach at the intersection of Coburns and Barries Roads at Melton west.

He was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Emergency crews were also called to the intersection of Station Road and Brooklyn Road, near Melton Station, where two boys – aged 15 and 17 – from Kurunjang and St Albans were also found with serious, but non-life-threatening stab wounds to their stomachs.

Police say the circumstances surrounding the incidents are yet to be determined, the investigation is ongoing, but both are believed to be linked.
