Police investigate alleged machete attack in Melbourne’s CBD

Two people have been taken to hospital following an alleged machete attack on Queen Street early on Monday morning.

Victoria Police spokesperson, Belinda Batty, told 3AW Breakfast, “it’s believed the offender struck the male with a machete on Queen Street at about 2:30am.”.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson told 3AW that a woman in her 20s was also treated for upper body injuries and taken to hospital in a serious condition.
