Police looking for man after bizarre ‘Hansel and Gretel’ burglary

Police are hunting a man after he left a trail of cigarette packets following an aggravated burglary in Melbourne’s east on Thursday night.

Wearing a mask, the offender entered the service station shortly before 11pm and stole cash and cigarettes.

“Tell me if this reminds you of Hansel and Gretel,” Victoria Police’s Paul Hogan told 3AW Breakfast.
