Police make arrest after stolen car dumped at major shopping centre

Police have arrested a woman after an allegedly stolen car was dumped at Chadstone Shopping Centre in the early hours of Monday morning.

A 22-year-old is in custody after officers saw a Kia travelling at up to 140 kilometres per hour in Springvale Junction shortly after 4am.

The car then sped down Dandenong Road and towards the major shopping centre, before the arrest was made.

The keys to the car were later found in a nearby bush.

Police have arrested a 22-year-old woman after a high-speed chase in a stolen Kia from Springvale to Chadstone early this morning.

The car allegedly hit speeds exceeding 140km/h.
